Sure burritos are good, but these fried cheesy burrito bites are the perfect munchies recipe.
Chimichangas are one of those Mexican dishes you see on the menu but never really know if you can dare to go for. These are kind of like chimichangas but better because 1) you can eat these deep fried monsters in the privacy of your own home and 2) they’re bites so they’re not as daunting.
They’re bite size cheesy heaven. One of the best recipes that we’ve tested.
The process is really easy: you take a burrito, put it in the fridge for a couple hours to solidify. Then cut the burrito into slices, dip each slice in an egg wash and then breadcrumbs. Then deep fry! The cheese gets all extra melty and cheesy. It’s so tasty! You can dip them in salsa or sour cream.
They’re kind of like Mexican mozzarella sticks…kind of. It’s snack food taken to the next level.
